Best & Worst Beauty Of The Week: Emma Stone, Alicia Keys, Amanda Seyfried And More (PHOTOS)

This week in beauty we discovered the right brows for our faces (and it was life changing), how to get Lena Dunham's Twiggy inspired look and that Khloe Kardashian colors her scalp with eyeshadow -- now that's a first!

We're shifting our focus to the red carpet, showcasing the best, worst and most interesting examples of hair, makeup and nails that we came across this week. Take a look, get inspired and vote for your faves!

  • BEST: Emma Stone

Actress Emma Stone looked girl-next-door gorgeous at the launch of Revlon's NEW Nearly Naked Makeup line on December 5th. Although we'll always have a soft spot for Stone's red locks during the "Superbad" era, her natural blonde hair color has really grown on us especially with the fringe she's been rocking this year. She went with a basic makeup look only using brown shadow, nude colored lipgloss and mascara. Going bare often leaves a lot of pale ladies looking washed out, but great foundation (we're assuming from the Revlon collection) kept her skin vibrant.

  • WORST: Alicia Keys

"You win some you lose some" is the lesson we've learned from Alicia Keys this week. The singer got an A+ last week for rockin' a sleek bob and red pout, but this time around we're not exactly feeling her look. Keys attended the Keep A Child Alive's Black Ball Redux 2012 at The Apollo Theater on December 6th with a pompadour hairstyle that took the wind-blown look to new heights. We love that she stuck with warm tones in her makeup that really made her natural beauty standout but her hair was so distracting we almost didn't notice.

  • BEST: Amanda Seyfried

Actress Amanda Seyfried does it again! Besides some flirtations with a dark lipstick now and again, the blonde bombshell knows what works for her and sticks to it. With such a dramatic dress at the "Les Miserables" World Premiere, she was smart to keep her makeup look simple. A light pink pout, rosy cheeks and an enviable smokey eye created a soft, feminine look. And did we mention that hair: curled to perfection. Work it, Amanda!

  • WORST: Dianna Agron

We're not sure what's going on with the Glee girls but they really do seem to be having a "moment" with bronzer. Lea Michele was the first casualty, and now Dianna Agron seems to have unfortunately taken some tips from her cast mate. At the HBO's "In Vogue: The Editor's Eye" screening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Agron looked almost unrecognizable because of her darker complexion. The overdone bronzer combined with drab makeup made this look both confusing and downright boring.

  • BEST: Liv Tyler

Liv Tyler looked absolutely stunning at "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" New York premiere on December 6th. The actress, who we have to admit has been our style crush since the '90s, always looks fab. We love that she went for a bold red lip (which has become a red carpet staple for her), but kept her look casual by leaving her tresses loose. Maybe we should start taking beauty tips from her dad too!

  • WORST: Kaley Cuoco

We've definitely seen Kaley Cuoco's style skills grow over the years. She's not wearing flairs or belly shirts anymore, but her beauty routine could still use an update. The "Big Bang Theory" actress sported a questionable look at the Voli Lights Vodka benefit on December 6th. With half-up, half-down bun hair style and exaggerated eye liner, Cuoco looked like she could be in a samurai film. And we don't think that's what she was going for. Next time, Kaley!

  • BEST: Olivia Munn

Actress Olivia Munn always looks smokin', no surprise there. But we were a little taken aback with how much her hair has grown recently and we love it! She showed up to the Giorgio Armani Beauty Luncheon on December 6th with a sultry smokey eye and bright pink lip. The pop of color worked perfectly with her ensemble and contrasted nicely with her jet black hair. Well done, Olivia!

  • WORST: Uma Thurman

Actress Uma Thurman always looks great -- even when she's preggers -- so we were surprised to see this dud of a makeup look at the premiere of "Playing For Keeps" on December 5th. Thurman went pretty barefaced save for some heavy foundation and matte biege lipstick; it was a '90s throwback in the worst way. We say: don't be afraid to add some color, Uma!
